Austin Keith-Grant Recognized in Charlotte Is Creative’s 2025 Recap

Charlotte Is Creative highlighted the Classroom Central mural as one of its standout creative moments of 2025, recognizing the artists who helped bring the project to life in the Queen City. Special thanks to Melissa Dorsch for including this project in the article as one of her picks!

The mural brought together three full-time creatives—Austin Keith-Grant, Johari Huggins, and Ben Verner—alongside five supporting Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools art teachers. The project celebrated the impact of public art and creative collaboration, demonstrating how artists can transform shared spaces while strengthening connections throughout the community.

Being included among Charlotte Is Creative’s highlights of the year was a meaningful recognition of the work happening across Charlotte’s creative community. The feature also reflected the importance of creating opportunities for local artists to collaborate, contribute their talents, and leave a lasting mark on the city.
