Austin Keith-Grant Featured in Charlotte Is Creative’s Classroom Central Mural Project

Austin Keith-Grant was one of eight Charlotte-area artists selected to help transform the exterior of Classroom Central into a vibrant mural celebrating the impact of education, creativity, and community. Organized with project management from Charlotte Is Creative and support from Link Logistics, the collaborative public art project commemorated Classroom Central’s milestone of distributing more than $100 million in free school supplies to local students and teachers.

AKG contributed the mural’s largest and most centrally positioned section, helping connect the individual artists’ contributions into a cohesive visual composition. Inspired by the imagination of students and the dedication of educators, the mural transformed a blank exterior wall into a colorful celebration of the possibilities created when students have the resources they need to succeed.

The project brought together professional artists and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools art teachers, creating an opportunity for local creatives to collaborate on a meaningful public artwork while recognizing the educators who shape the region’s next generation.
